International Artiglio Award, II Edition, 2003
Care of the Meeting Center building Principe di Piemonte, Viareggio, has been held, from the 1st to the 4th of May 2003, the second edition of the Artiglio International Award.
The event provided some practical demonstrations in the water, shows, films and discussion forum about the history of the diving, with a special emphasis to the work of the divers.
Have take part, among others, as well as the Italian Rotary Club of Viareggio-Versilia like organizer of the event, the most important international specialized scuba-divers reviews, the Italian Park Boards of the Tuscany Archipelago (Livorno) and Portofino (Genova), the Italian Scuba Divers Club "Artiglio" of Viareggio, the Italian (Military) Navy with the Unit "Com.Sub.In." -Divers School, the Diver Units of the Carabinieri (Italian Military Police), the Polizia di Stato (Italian Civil Police), the Vigili del Fuoco (Italian Fire Department) and the Protezione Civile (Italian Civil Security Department), the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Military Corp for the Internal Revenue Service), the Historical Diving Society Italy of Marina di Ravenna (Ravenna), the Italian Scuba Divers Society "Teseo Tesei" of Viareggio and the Club Panerai of Viareggio.
The event, with free entrance and with private security and insurance, has been sponsorshipped by the (Italian local bank) Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, the Provincia di Lucca and the Comune of Viareggio, under the High Patronage of the President of the European Board and of the President of the Italian Republic.

Friday 2nd May, the dinner has been held care of the Hotel -Club I Pini- in Lido di Camaiore, with the service of the two sommeliers of the (Hotelkeepers and Restaurantkeepers Italian Federation of Sommeliers) Fisar, Marco Cinquini and Tullio Scavone, of the Versilia and Massa departments, with the presence also of Simona Di Stefano with the daughter Benedetta, of the Boutique Panerai in Portofino (Ge). All that because Marco Mancini-webmaster club panerai, Piero Lapiana-int. p. r. club panerai, Claudio Salvini and Monica Lenolli-hotelkeepers, are also sommeliers Fisar of the Versilia department.

Saturday 3rd May, the dinner has been held care of the historic Restaurant -Buonamico- in Viareggio, just where the commandos at that time, from the near (km 15) training headquarter in Bocca di Serchio (Pisa), went to have dinner and, speaking among them about "maiali" -pigs-, the boss of that time thought they were traders of livestock...
