As from 2000 and to 2004 O. Panerai, to celebrate the official participation with its sailing boat

(while from the 2005, the sailor boat that has taken part to the race has been sponsorshipped by Iwc, ever of the Richemont Group)

to the Laureus Award, that take place every year in may in Montecarlo, Princ. of Monaco, until 2004 Panerai has introduced a new Luminor model, of the -Special Editions- collection:

- Year 2005, Luminor Power Reserve Regatta 2005, Pam 222, 300m, 44mm steel case with rubber strap and deployante buckle, black dial -Clous de Paris- and case-back with: -Classic Yachts Challenge- engraved, 500 units, aut. movement cal.  - Year 2009, Luminor 1950 Chrono Rattrapante Regatta 2009, Pam 332, 44mm steel case with Dlc-Pvd treatment, rubber strap and deployante buckle, black hobnail dial and case-back with -Classic Yachts Challenge- engraved, 500 units, aut. movement cal. - Year 2012, Panerai Award -Transat Classique-, Luminor 1950 Chrono Rattrapante 8 Days, Pam 427, 47 mm titanium case, rubber strap and ardillon buckle, black dial and case-back with -Panerai Transat Classique 2012- engraved, 500 units, movement cal. P. 2006.3 h/w Manifattura, with hours, minutes, small seconds and power reserve, no Cosc certificate.

Panerai -Classic Yachts Challenge- and Boat -Eilean-

Care of the Naval Shipyard -Del Carlo- in Viareggio (Italy), are finished the restoration works, started in the January 2007, of the 1936's Ocean Cruiser, Boat -Eilean- (a 22 m bermudas ketch, built at the Boatyard -Fife- in Farlie (Scotland): the name -Eilean- means, in the old scottish language, little island) bought in the 2006 from A. Bonati, C.E.O. - O. Panerai, while its technical launching has happened in the September 2009. The boat has taken part, from the edition 2010, to the Award -Classic Yachts Challenge-.
